Love / Hate
It is better to be hated for who you are
than loved for who you are not ...
I have written about this many times, in many different ways. I will post on this, so you may see my interpretation.

Afzal--- I agree. Ironically, those who live as you suggest often are
viewed by the many dishonest people who surround them as cruel, insensitive, etc. Societal pressures encourage dishonesty and pretension.

Excellent post...I think sometimes those who suffer with low self-esteem
have been put down as children and maybe never got enough inner strength to fight the negativity of it all...

I think it is very well said. Self esteem and self worth suffer for many reasons.
I never agree for anyone pretending to be something they are not, or act in a way that is not truthful to their feelings.
