I fear that name prejudice is just one more thing that should be a non-factor, but isn't. In spite of all the claims for equal opportunity, we continue to be uncomfortable with names that are unusual, suggestive of ethnicity, or difficult to pronounce.

If events played out a certain way...
We could see president Newt, now talk about a strange name. And go way back to when I can remember a vice president named Spiro T. Agnew. Don't know what the T stood for, probably trouble since it rhymes with, er, well, T.
