I think that in some cases, it's really hard to know the truth. It's very sad in these sorts of cases.
If the person is guilty, it is a severe injustice to the victim, if the person is innocent, it is a severe injustice to the accused.

I don't really know what to say other then if the person is lying then shouldn't there be a way to prove that? I know in the state if a person lies like that in court and gets caught they themselves are subject to fines and jail time. There is nothing worse then a innocent person being found guilty of something they did not do because someone told a lie. I hope you have a solid judge that will be able to sort the truth out..
