Tony, why don't you make a book out of your lovely autobigraphical sonnets.

What a blessing--a perfect life in a gentified neighborhood. Or cleaned up
part of London. I like your natural, coversational rhythm to the Sonnet. Viva TonZonnet! Shalom from Neil

What a luxury, to enjoy your workdays. . .
Either you are very lucky or someone who has devised to have your life suit you. . .or your attitude suit your life. Either way, hooray for unhurried mornings.

Well-noticed, Fourcats. That's what it's like in Salford and Manchester.
I used to work in an office that was in the old red light district, and sometimes the prostitutes would ask us for business when we left the office!

tonyz - sounds like an area of vancouver now referred to as yaletown. it
used to be all warehouses and industry, with junkies and male prostitutes (it used to be referred to as boystown). but the artsy ones saw the potential/money in the warehouses and waterfront and now the skyscrapers and shops are popping up where once there was darkness and distress.

Thanks Troosha and Star.
To be honest, i just needed to blog before going to work to give me a bit of time to do some other writing in the evening. I wrote a little bit. A couple of pages a night is OK, it keeps things ticking along. I have found that Blogit has helped my confidence as a writer because practice makes perfect. Blogit provides the practice which we can then use in other things. Writing has to be a habit, like learning to swim or ride a bicycle. You learn it through trial and error, and then your brain becomes used to it. Before Blogit I always thought about writing but only got round to it occasionally. it's a discipline, almost like a second job. It's work more than fun, but very interesting and stimulating work. Even if nothing comes of it, you find without realising it that you have put elctronic pen to paper, and that's the most important thing.
My job is OK, it's quite stress-free. It's not exciting, but we have some nice little chats. Christmas is coming up, of course, and we are all having a meal and a few drinks next Tuesday. I wonder if I'll be able to blog? I think I'll have to do an early morning blog that day!! Good night everyone!

Tony
I continue to be amazed at how you can so often take a very simple subject and turn it into a delightful story/sonnet!

That sounds interesting and rewarding, Blanche.
I nearly landed myself a part-time counselling job a few years ago, but then the opportunity was withdrawn. I'm sure that would prove to be a great job.

Tony, 2 years ago, all I saw were the problems, now I see opportunities
the past is fading, left a mark, but it's fading, now I am moving on. I'll start a Masters program in counseling sometime soon, probably March as soon as the grant comes through.

Tonyzonit,
more sonnet fun.. especially "get myself feeded..." (wince).. what my English teacher would have called stretching the rhyme, but who cares..
