I have always been an advocate for the death penalty, but after watching this show, it makes me take a second look at my stance

Is there a bigger sin than false pride
When the jusitce system is the perpotrator of such an agregious injustice the greatest fear a society could have is realized. Sorry can never be enough, but it has to start there. I would imagine that the wrongly convicted might prefer to face the needle than live through the daily hell of their incarceration. Thanks for a great posting!

Timmytales, the Innocence Project has proven too many innocent people
on death row for me to ever feel sanguine about it ever again, it's my biggest argument against the death penalty. If even one person, wrongly convicted died, I would feel so much remorse. How terrible to die for nothing.

The justice system, unfortunately, is a sausage grinder,
and once one is in it, it is virtually impossible to get out of it. There are many, many bugs to work out, not the least of which is the weighing of evidence. Eyewitnesses and lineups, for the most part, are discredited -- you can get anyone to say or do anything. You can't get a piece of DNA to say, "Naw man, I didn't see nothin'..."

Timmy, how nice to see you! I was wondering where you were.
I have been accused of doing something that I did not do. Afterward the experience, I must say it's left me with an incurable desire to trust NO ONE.

Everyone still hates and despises OJ
And the jury that set him FREE. As you say, there's a whole lot wrong with our criminal justice system.

Seems almost impossible with todays forensics. Still, 80% of those picked out in a lineup are wrong

Most of these men lost a good portion of their lives. It would be hard to start your life at forty years of age with a criminal record and no assistance

Tim,
I have a friend who works with prisoners to help educate them. She was telling me that the statistics of innocent men being convicted are becoming alarming.
