And some of them are pretty inconsiderate, blowing smoke right at you

We had laws like that in LA
for many years. As a non-smoker, I love it! It always stuns me now when I go to the middle of the country and find the waitress asking "smoking or non-smoking." If they could contain their foul stench within a little helmet bubble, I wouldn't care at all where they smoke but they can't, so I think it's right to ban it.

Gome, I have a great friend that's a smoker
And watching what he goes through in the winter in norther Utah is enough for me to not smoke. These people will go through hell and high water for a puff. Anything that puts me out in a blizzard to freeze my royal rastafarian nay-nays off has to much power over me and I won't get involved with it.

SuccessWarrior - I find it funny when people attempt to use their "rights"
as a means of defending their smoking in public.
What right does anyone have to endanger the health of others? Even if it is to the minor degree that a small amount of second hand smoke entails. Large amounts are quite a different matter.
Our city passed the smoking ban bylaw almost 3 years ago. It drastically altered the dynamics of the restaurant and bar industry. Smoking areas attached to these establishments must now have open walls so just about every restaurant and bar built a patio, or even some form of leanto. When there are no walls its a little difficult to heat these areas. I have to laugh at people outside in a Canadian winter freezing their butts off for a few hauls of nicotine.

Ben, I am hoping that the few years I spend in the casino
don't come back to haunt me.

Lady, I don't enjoy the smoke at all and there is at least one brand
that I am really allergic to. I don't know what it is but I know when I have breathed it. When I worked in the restaurant, I used to take otc allergy meds with me to work just in case.

I think my lungs were permanently damaged by all that second-hand smoke I was exposed to as a child. Hooray for Nevada for passing at least some semblance of a non-smoking law.
