he would appear at the end of our beds - pinch us
then disappear. that day we got together for Mother's Day (with all the champagne) and realized that we all had the same dream was so odd.

I have heard of such stories here in India and many interesting movies have been based on Ghosts stories in Hindi, one such famous movie is called "Bhoot Bangla" meaning " Ghost Bungalow" .

he seemed more like a misguided spirit -and he was very young -18
maybe - i felt his soul was trying to find its place because he had died so young.

I do not doubt your experience . Our belief is often based on experience and specially in matters of spirits coming and haunting places are often not believed by people who have not seen . Seeing is believing . I fear Ghosts and wonder how would I face the ghosts if I did really saw one .Thanks.

Likely b. for absolute certain. Once that is over with, I would probably try to see if it was aware of my presence (a real entity) or just some left over energy from a different time.

a ghost can't physically harm you - just mentally
when I grew up in my parents house - we were visited by a blonde haired / young man / in a grey uniform and he always pinched us in bed (I was about 3 or 4). he always said that was because we were alive and he wasn't. i never was afraid of him because he was not an evil presence - but very sad. my sisters and i never spoke of this until the first granddaughter was born - we saw pinch marks on her. then one day (after too many champagne bottles_ my sisters and me mom discussed this soldier. my oldest sister looked up the history of the land where we lived and there was a battle there. this poor soul was lingering. fear not the dead - fear the living - they are far more dangerous!!
