Very interesting post. My son was born at home An incredible
experience for both man and wife. My ex-wife is remarried with annother 3 children all born at home. If there are no complications, I really think hospitals are not necessary ...

that was never an option for me - mine came too fast
son - 4 hours 8 lbs.; daughter 2 hours 9lbs.; daughter 1 hour 10lbs.  i'd hate to see what number 4 would weigh!!!

Afzal
I don't know if this is true in all areas, but here, unless the mother is having problems, they strongly discourage Caesarian.
I would opt for Caesarian. My daughter almost died, and they did a worse alternative on me that has messed me up. And also with my son, I was not fully dilated when the labor started, It was very difficult. I thought we were going to die. I ended up with a lot of scaring because of it, that I feel could have been avoided.
I certainly wouldn't recommend it for everyone, but for those that have complications with giving birth.

i had 2 with epidurals - and 1 with nothing
only because there was no time.  and vaginal births.  funny thing was - after the "no-drug" birth - i probably could have done jumping jacks - where with the other two it took longer to heal.  now that my tubes are tied i never have to think about it again.
