The last stanza says it all I think...

If it's so painful,
and I agree it is, why in the world do we keep signing up for this program! What is wrong with us?
I think I'm done. Even dating is a pain at this point. I just went out with someone casually to a concert, who pursued me, writing and calling. He had a photo so it's not that. We get along great. Then, I don't hear from him. He's busy. Geez. Up until then, I'm getting 3 emails a day. A call at least every other night. He can't leave a note that says "Have a nice Thanksgiving."
Love...I don't even believe in strong like right about now. People are just playing. They've all been hurt, and it's like they feel the need to keep putting notches in the belt.
I'd rather be alone. It's much less lonely.
