Schatz, tomorrow I am putting in an application at a furniture store.
It's hourly and not commission, as Professor Peabody's is, but he can help me learn what I need to know. It'll be good training and the possiblity of making serious money is there.

LOL Julia
I emailed with nearly that message exactly on Tuesday, saying that if they simply emailed all the info to me, I was committing to being there. I think maybe it's some kind of thing between them, as in she says it's your business, take care of it, and he says she's your friend so you work out the details. I can't be involved in marital battles. Thanks for stopping by!

that was rude, rude, RUDE of them!
It's tough if you really want to do it because of the money, but sometimes you have to stand on principle. I might have explained to them that you'd been trying to reach them all week to firm up the plans, and would have dependably been available had they given you more notice.

Jemmie
That was my point exactly. I don't want this kind of stuff to ruin the friendship. If there can even be one, as of yet, I am not sure. But I am hopeful! :)

Glad you had a great weekend!
Not so glad the people you were going to help flaked out on you.  That is really rude!  I think you did the right thing.  They can't expect you to wait around for them to call you.  You do have a life, a family, school, etc.  It's not like you don't have anything better to do!
