No
Some are good they actually go to the countries and give them supplies. But others are not true to their word and pocket the money. What I believe is that they have a cure for Aids and Cancer but are not telling us because the billions of funding and jobs will be lost and people will no longer die or need costly medical treatment. The government hides more than we will ever know. Good post.

Afzal

Good post

I agree with RAME, and also believe that in order to help the poor, we need to provide better services... offer lower cost childcare, and higher paying jobs, so that they can meet their needs till they can get on their feet.

I don't know how it is everywhere, but here, I can't even get help with childcare, which would cost me at least $1,600 per month, and the income I could get would be $800 per month (after taxes), if I'm lucky.
I'd have to make at least $13 an hour, just to cover childcare. And that wouldn't leave anything for housing, food, car, gas, personal needs, etc.
And for the lower and many of the mid class workers here, the pay doesn't increase with the economy.  It's the companies that are making the big bucks, and it's their workers that are losing.

I think if they made caps on how much a business could make, in comparison to what it pays it's employees, there would be more higher paying jobs, and less people inclined to take on a business venture, which would benefit all, as there would be less bussiness, therefore less competition.

Yeah, I know, it will never happen.
