Many thanks for you long, thoughtful comment.

I believe that we all, believers and non-believers alike, are on a journey to none may truly know where, and as voyagers on that road, we all have a duty to love, respect and tolerate each other.

A compassionate humanism is as effective a weapon again the evils of cruel men as is a belief in God, or gods.

As you can see from my sidebar " Love thy neighbour as thyself" has always been my guiding principle, and it would be so had it been said by Mohammed, Gandhi, Einstein or anyone else.

Tonight I shall post a homage to American soldiers in WWII

Ariel it is Armistice Day today... so i am thinking of you.
another heart rending story. I noticed your ambivalence towards a God, that seems impassive and uncaring a God that was not there to stop the suffering. I can understand that, but you also mentioned the suffering of Christ, and that is the point of reconciliation between man and God, this is the bridge that i hope you will cross in your life time and see the brightness of the shore that awaits you, a light of hope upon the darkness of mankind despicable deeds. No one has the answer, life is simply not fair and no one understands God's way, but it is better to have faith than not have faith. That is all I know.
