At the Holy Church of Blog we aim for mindful dogma and
try to go easy on the hypocrisy.

I confess
that I find this blog interesting.  I usually steer away from religious conversations because I start getting angry about mindless dogma and hypocricy.

Do a lot of people worship themselves?

The concept of one-man churches is a little confusing...
...but nonetheless it's a good idea. In reality, i wonder if that's what many people have been all along - worshipping themselves as their own deity? Not that I'm being critical... Maybe that's the inbuilt way to think. Maybe that's what religions try to subvert, so that you do what they say instead of what you want to do. If only there were no churches, jobs, money, nasty people... Ooops, this is turning into a John Lennon song...

Isn't there a parallel with big business here? Once a people develops sufficient education and resources, they are often too sophisticated to fall for the simplistic advertising claims which once worked on them.
