Excellent basic plan.
It is, as you say, simple but not easy. I never made it because my wife couldn't stop nickel and diming us to death. My fault, really. I never could stick with saying no to her or telling her to stop spending us into poverty. Since leaving me she can't understand why she is always broke even though she makes very good money these days. It would be funny if it weren't so sad. I've learned to get by on very little. If only I was making the money I used to make and spending no more than I spend now....
