It's not the ego. It's the size of the ego.
Ego can be good for example athletes, musicians, but if your ego expands, and your head gets too big for your shoulders, then my friend, there is a problem.

Afzal

Humility is a blessing.   Ego is what keeps us at arms length from what really matters in life.  It is the bane  of self discovery as ego is a characteristic which can survive only on the surface.  Good thoughts this morning, Afzal…..

Afzal

Many people in this world have an inflated view of their selves.  For most, accept maybe others like them, it's a very unattractive characteristic.

People who think they are important because they think they look better, or have more or can give more than others, are living in a false reality.
It is just my opinion of course, but being given something by someone, just because they want you to think they have it to give, is meaningless.
It's much nicer to receive something from someone that comes from their heart, even if it's not much by material means.

I think the ego can really take control of successful people, if they let
it, but humility is so much more attractive.  Good post.
