Julia, that must be a great job, cataloging toys. I used to be a cataloger for the Veteran's Administration and I enjoyed it. We published a catalog, too, for use by the VA hospitals. I would love having the kitties around to pet and cuddle with. I know they love you.
You sound happy there. I'm glad for that.

I don't know what I'd do without my babies (dogs). They are endlessly entertaining, and a great joy to be around. I put one of them in the yard when Sam and I are outside, with the assurance of knowing nothing untoward will happen.

Julia, Pitiful is starting to get on my nerves. She wants to be right on me or beside me or rubbing against me every minute of the time that I'm at home. She even sits right outside the bathroom door when I am there. Where do I get fairies for her to chew on? Maybe that would keep her occupied for a while.

I think its good you can be around them while you work. I love having Crazy Crystal curled up in the small of my back while I'm redading and typing. THere is much to be said for the loyalty and affection of a pet.

Perhaps the toy company knew that you had just moved and were torn up about it, so they decided to get your kitties high so that you'd have something to smile about.
Yep. That's gotta be what happened!

That's funny!
I would wonder about the toys, too. I have two kitties. There's a great cat toy---a stuffed Bill Gates doll, and a stuffed Ross Peroit doll---both stuff with catnip. It's absolutely hysterical to see my cats with this thing. They've had these toys over 8 years now. The catnip is long gone. Still, they get on the floor, roll around and beat the crud out these toys. Then they do that loopy catnip thing, rolling around on the floor like the old LSD people did when they would just look at their hands for hours on end. :)
Spike, the cat, hates hair scrunchies and anything crocheted. He really, really hates those circles that you start the middle of a granny square out. He would break into a basket on my bathroom vanity, take the scrunchies out, the proceed to throw it to the ground, growl at it and then beat the heck out it. If I'm working in an afghan, I have to HIDE those little circles. When I get up in the morning, I'll find them under doors, hidden in rooms I haven't been in in days, etc. My daughter's crochet dolls? Every morning they'd be the middle of the floor as he would drag them out of their bed and bounce them around a good bit.
Bad kitties.

If your cats are anything like ours, they are right smack in the middle of anything you try to do. They are so curious. Anything out of the norm they notice. If I get papers out to sort on the floor, there is Paws, lying on top of them. ha-ha Enjoy your pets, Julia. They really are just too cute.
