Afzal

I used to have a little plackard I had hanging on my wall that said something to the effect, "When one person is missing, the whole world seems lonely." So, yes, I totally understand how you can be away just a short time and really miss people and feel pangs of lonliness.  When my kids would go away during the summer with their friends, it was so hard to not get weepy. I wanted them to be happy and have fun, but for me, they were the "one person" missing. It was a quiet dinner table.

I would have loved to have seen you explaining Blogit and blogging to your mother.  We have hooked my dad (age 73) up with a computer, and he's just getting some emails out.  He's had the thing for about 2-3 years.   He thinks the whole online world is nuts, but he wanted the computer to check the stock market.

So, your mom has the age thing AND a cultural thing. It took you so long to find the cyber cafe, so I'm taking it that in that part of the country, computers are far and few between.  Has your mother ever used one?  My mom has only touched a computer a handful of times when my kids tried to show her how to do some things.

Being away....

I can relate to this...I have just got back home after visiting relatives in the country for the best part of two weeks, yet by the third day I was already feeling homesick for friends and family (including of course the cyber ones!) and began to feel computer and blogging withdrawls as there was no computer available where i was staying.  Though the presence of loved ones is always felt regardless of time and distance.

How wonderful is the heart*

Ps. Thankyou for reading and commenting on my blogs,  I am always so encouraged by this.

Yes, Afzal,
it can be a long journey for a short visit, to realize how much everyone's missed, but it always feels good to get back home. Nice to hear you had a safe and pleasant holiday.
