jemgem, first just buy some wonderful slow brasilian music and mimic the words.

Or portuguese music or  Cape Verdian music. African music from Angola, Bissau, Sao Tome', etc.  Great music and you learn some vocabulary.

I can sing in so many languages, tho' I don't know what I'm saying. The languages that I learned after the singing of them, were easier to learn, having sung them with a good accent.

Benzzzzz...
Nope.  I don't speak Portuguese.  (I assume that's what you asked.)  I wish I did.  Perhaps one day soon I'll take some classes.

DOH
It's either the sheep or the roaches!  Personally, I'd rather have my grass shack infested with roaches than with sheep!

I COULD NEVER LIVE IN HAWAII
I wouldn't want to EVER go there either because I don't believe in all that sacrificial sheep killing you all do every thursday night to appease the volcano gods. You people are so ignorant and need to find Jesus.

You are right on
Besides a lot of stupid people out there it's marketing. The tourist bureau has sold everyone who hasn't been to Hawaii, the image and the Myth of Hawaii. Thanks for setting them straight. In my work we deal with stuff like this all the time. It's the same thing with Africa. People think Africa is a country and the only thing there is war and starvation. The media sells us a bill of goods and people who don't travel, buy it.
