i think that every encounter has a seed to plant, a lesson to learn. We are like children in kindergarten with our blocks and sand boxes.....I need your block and you need mine. Learning is the key. Were you duped? Perhaps, but are you wiser for the experience?

Having been “dooped” myself by revealing my commission on a potential transaction, I appreciate the sting of your encounter with this woman. Initially one feels a little foolish. In my case I ultimately sat back and thought “you did a good job and your endeavor was honorable”. It’s the other person who has to look twice when looking in the mirror.

people can be mischievous these days, a lesson learned, is a lesson reaped, and yes, it is always better late than never

Life is about learning. There was no reason for you to believe that you shouldn't have trusted her. The important thing is that you learned something from it. That's what life is about. It's really hard to predetermine all that someone might do.
