I don't have any Platters left, or much of anything else since I lost about everything I own.  But someday I hope to rebuild my music collection including them.  I suppose a lot of what I add will be greatest hits type CDs, but for some artists that would be better anyway.  Not so for the Platters.  I've liked everything I've ever heard them do.

My mother hipped me to the Platters when I was still in high school. I had their greatest hits on cassette, but it's long gone now. However, The Great Pretender survives on my iTunes playlist on my computer.

Yeah, I know what you mean.
It seems like Burma Shave used to do something like that years and years ago.  I don't even know if they still sexist now.

I saw some interesting billboards recently that were like that
but now I can't think of how they they did.  They linked groups together to make sentences but I don't remember what the groups were.
