That's what my sister and I do for our three fuzzballs.  It works, but I'm always afraid my Queen Bee (Oreo) will lick the skin right off she's so anal about it, LOL.

I'm telling you, just wipe it on the cat's paw. They will lick and lick
until they are clean, whether they like the taste or not.  LOL   It's for their own good.

Julia, You know, I tried that stuff on Pitiful once and she wouldn't have anything to do with it so I gave up too easily.  This post is giving me some ideas about re-trying it in different ways.

I always put it on my cat's paw and let him lick from there....

It's not that you have to teach cats anything,
it's just that they're plotting against you, somehow. They know what they're doing...

Never heard of fur ball goo but I’m all too familiar with the gack-gack-ack sound (and of course it’s on the new bedspread!)

Julia., maybe it doesn't seem so tasty to them.
They might be smarter than you think, just don't like it the taste.

our 2 cats love that stuff, too..you'd think it was candy..we keep out
and use it once a week, hoping the cats will avoid gagging on a furball, but sometimes once a week isn't enough....

I like your heading
I have once said to someone that I would buy them a screwdriver for their birthday so that they could tighten their loose screws. Hope your finger is still intact

Julia...
While I empathize i can't relate too well because Adrienne is immune to furballs (hehe).  However, If I were you I think I would smear the goo on their fore arm then let them lick it off, or bite...it wont matter because it's their arm.

Hahaha...that's funny. I'm glad it's your finger they're trying to
bite off and not mine.
