That is a good question
I think it would depend on the book, but I would probably dedicate it to a good friend or a family member.

I think I’d like to dedicate it to “all the people who have inspired me and supported me through difficult times”.  Realistically, I’d probably dedicate it to my husband who tolerates my obsession.

My Grandmother .. Although she died when I was 15 `  she taught me to love through her own example.
