Affy, Sam and I have been 'married' since 1989, but only did the paper bit
in 2003. The paper bit was good though - it cemented it for family, the ceremony was a small piece of history in our local church and Sam just loves calling herself Mrs Cryer. We never thought we'd value what the paper would add to our marriage of minds, but it did add.

Hey Afzal, marriage is a serious concept, but like you said

I used to tease  my friends who had any knd of soft corner to me, will you marry me? actually, by asking such funny question, you can always keep the crzy folks away.

Sunny ,you are right , You must be getting fed up with my stereotype reply.
It often happens that in a hurry we find the most common and standard type of reply in hand to post. Don't you see how some people just send comment with no subject and simple flower picture .

You always tell me I'm absolutely correct. I think you kid me, and tell me what I want to hear.

I think the difference is that having the "piece of paper" is far more socially acceptable.
I'm not sure completely how these things work where you are, but I'm sure they are somewhat different here.
I think the sad truth is that no matter what you call it or how you try to define it, there will always be people who refuse to live within those confines.
People will do what they will do, whether it will be for love, for money, for social reasons, or whatever else.

I guess by my definition, marriage is supposed to be about love, commitment and trust. Then an array of other things falling under these.
How many people in marriage actually follow by this definition.....likely next to none.

babe rocks, You need to understand the implication of marriage before
getting married . You need to know the meaning and the concept of marriage the aim and object of marriage in its true letter and spirit. Thanks for your critical and meaningful comment .

So when you propose marriage to anybody and everybody, do you first define the term according to your own unique understanding?
