I would say both A and B are good choices.

The president and vice president talk disparagingly of the idea of treating counterterrorism chiefly as a law-enforcement problem instead of a war.

I actually think it is more a law enforcement problem and that dealing with it as such would prevent the alienation and infuriation that occurs when Muslims see American bombs raining down on their cities and villages.

Afzal50,
Based on the lessons of history! George Bush is a "war criminal"! Invading a sovereign nation is a crime against humanity, even if you do not like the humanity! Let not continue to ignore the "real" facts! For some reason I remember an interview where a "enemy" combatant stated we welcome Americans over here so we can "kill them"! I do not know how Bush/Cheney get the notion that they are at an advantage? I guess it plays well in Peoria??

IMHO.. I say we load up and blow them all away no matter where they are. As I sit here and watch a 9/11 memorial this is what comes to my mind.

You have some truth in your opinion and it is difficult to disagree with
you . Thanks.

To be honest, I think mankind, and please understand...

This is my opinion, so I am most likely wrong... I think mankind is too self centered and selfish to stop the cycles. Mankind does not seem to want to see beyond self, and until or unless that is done, there will be no stopping the cyclings of war and terrorism. This is, of course, just one bloggers opinion.

How is it cyclical , Can we not stop it ?

posted by afzal50 on September 10, 2006 at 6:40 PM | link to this | reply

It isn't so much that as it is a matter of waiting for all the cards to
stop falling so we can pick them up and organize them again. All things are cyclical. Even war and terrorism.

I wish I had a good answer for this...unfortunately, I don't.
War and terrorism sicken me, as do many other things.
Terrorism is crazy.  Crazy people should be locked up somewhere where they can't hurt anyone.
