Just a clarification that not all Christians celebratate All Saints Day,
that's actually a Catholic holiday and was put into place when the Catholic Church was trying to win the Pagan converts who celebrated Samhain or Halloween (October 31/Nov. 1) Most Protestants don't adhere to Catholic holidays.

My understanding of the subject: All Saints Day commemorates all saints known and unknown and is observed Nov. 1. Its vigil (Oct. 31) is called Halloween and has become a colorful secular/pagan holiday, traditionally a fun night for kids. All Souls Day is Nov. 2 and commemorates all the faithful departed. I was just looking in the Lutheran book and it is not listed. I think it is more for Catholics and perhaps Anglican. Then there is Day of the Dead in Mexico and the Southwest which is not part of my tradition but I understand it's moving and colorful and I would like to observe it sometime.

I am not sure, as I have not done much research in this area yet.
There are Witches calanders, but I don't know if they actually start in November, as I haven't seen one.

Samhain is the Witches’ New Year, when the veil between the worlds is thin.
Spiritually, Samhain is a time for reflection and meditation on death, and the honor of your ancestors who have passed to another plane.
The Great Feast of the Dead is celebrated on Samhain Eve to offer tribute to those who lived before you, and those who will come after you.
