all of the above.
pray first, and pray some more, seek medical advice, listen to my body, listen to God, listen to friends, seek more advice, from people who survived the illness you have, stay away from doom sayers and people who feel too sorry for you. Seek as many opinions as necessary, and never give up. block out negative thoughts, deliberately, deal with one minute at a time if necessary, cry then laugh, then pray some more. Above all, seek God's peace, whatever happens, and be ready to accept whatever outcomes may loom, grieve, cry laugh and pray some more. Well, I have never had anything life threatening illnesses but had felt scared at times. It is not so bad in a way when it happens to you, but the worst is feeling powerless when a close loved one is suffering, especially your own child. At least you have control over your own illness and thoughts. Well, I have done all these things I have mentioned, it is part of grieving, but being terminally ill, I can imagine is a grieving process, and a journey back to hope and health hopefully.

My family believes strongly in the power of prayer and in the wisdom and learning God has provided through doctors.  Yes, we've probably seen our share of doctors who don't know or don't care, but we've also seen plenty who go above and beyond to help.  The concerned, well-educated doctor combined with prayer got my Mom through a terminal case of cancer (she should have died 29 years ago, but will celebrate her 67th birthday this weekend) and my son through a few severe asthma attacks in the last 3-4 years.

First and foremost, see the physician.  Other than that, I have and believe in other ways of healing, as long as it doesn't affect the free will of the person involved.
I'm around if you wanna talk.

ilnesses
I don't see doctors unless I feel reallybad but  my end of life is destined already and I have no real need to see a doctor.  Although I suffer from pain daily there isn't anything any of them can do for me.  I need however to see a dentist, for some dental work that is past due.  So I guess you might say I don't do any of the items you mentioned in your question.
