My mom
Cliche, but that's it. She didn't get a high school diploma, and yet I'd pass anyone by her for the "once over." She left my dad when I was 16. He got the house; she got two kids. She left with a whopping $500. The week we left, her place of employment went out of business and she ended up in the emergency room with a major kidney problem. Still she plods on.
She's 67 and the manager of a Moose Lodge. Last winter she was raising heck in the winter because she had to get to work to shovel a path for the old people.
