If you tell me which areas are of interest to you, I'll see if I can rake up some info.

I want to visit Spain soon! I have some properties that I'm marketing for another company in Spain here in Dubai.....but I'm totally clueless about Spain for the most part.
Thanks for some insight.

I always wondered where those silly rules came from...
mus be the british ancestry...probably a few spaniards in mine as I do like to break them from time to time, especially if I don't like them...I mean, if they don't make sense...

Yum, Ariel!
I need to get out and get some things done. I can spend my entire day here on Blogit. I need to curtail that.

Oh, yes, definitely Spanish recipes, Ariel, please do!
I love tapas, and if you could give a recipe for gazpacho, ensalatas, etc. that would be fantastic!

Yep, the spice of life can be administered with a slightly heavy hand.
Think I'll stick to parsley. Gonna post some recipes soon ; one of 'em's Ensalada Andazluza The salad that's very popular here..

Ariel, I like a modicum of common sense in traffic,
I agree the slavish rule-following isn't limited to Britain, it's annoyingly punitive here in the States, where we have Big Nanny watching over us, with safety regs, although people are driving like loons with cellphones.
However, I saw some flagrant death-defying stunts in Mexico: a passenger on a bicycle standing on the rear spoke of the wheel in traffic. Bus drivers (where I was a passenger) on windy mountain roads between Mexico City and Veracruz playing chicken passing other buses on windy mountain roads. I'd like a little less bravado, a little less derringdo and a little common sense.

And that's quiet town!!!
The thing in Spain is that they hardly ever tell you in advance, and what's more, they don't put the barrier at the entrance to the street.
Por que? That's take all the fun out of life! Grinding to a screeching halt ( or not, as the case may be ) on the brink of a yawning abyss keeps the old adrenalin flowing, see?
I shall have to post a little acknowldgement and thanks for the cool beaners to your daughter in law.

Spain may be great, but you don't have a monopoly
on strange growths blooming out of what used to be thoroughfares, or tricks and traps on familiar streets. Every road in and out of Quiet Town lately is "under construction" - being widened and resurfaced while the sun shines and daytime temps reach 100 degrees Farenheit. There are red cones and striped barrels, even flashing electric signs, sudden diversions, detours. Traffic lights going up, being changed. For a traffic phobic like myself, this is a nightmare, and it's been going on for nearly three years, aarrgh... But your writing is still cool beaners!!

Oooops! Sorreee! There ain't no such word, I'm afraid. It a figment of my imagination.
Hope your trip wasn't wasted, and that you learned a whole passel of fascinating stuff about eggs!! How do you like your eggs? Addled? Poached? Scrambled? Knurdled?

Ariel70, After reading your post, I took a side trip on the internet trying to find an explanation of knurdling but all I ended up with was information about Electrical Eggs. Maybe some things are best left alone.
