Sweetie, I do agree with you . I think we should try to free them when ever
possible.

Yes....It wasn't just the fact that we lost them, but the fact that I knew they couldn't survive out there on their own. Wouldn't be able to feed themselves, and the other birds would likely kill them.
It would have been ok, had I thought they would have lived a long life in freedom.

Sunny, I can feel how painful it is to part with your favourite birds.

We used to have 3 parakeets, a long time ago..
Until my bf at the time went outside and left the door ajar. Two got away. It was my first day at a new job, and I had to leave for work. I went there and cried my eyes out. The owner tried to comfort me and told me it was ok if I wanted to go home. That was about the nicest he'd ever been to me.

afsal..One of our neighbors who feeds seagulls each morning, saw a one-.
legged gull pushed aside by the others. From then on, he made sure the injured bird was well-fed.

Yes I love birds. I have a wetlands near me and I love to watch the Herons. On the property I have 15 to 20 Blue Jays, Pileated Woodpeckers, Grosbeaks and many others. I have feeders out and have often posted pics of them.

I love all sorts of birds except a mean little blue jay, they peck at your children and other pets. They are just annoying. But all birds are beautiful, graceful and in my mind should be free. That is just my opinion.

I have two cockatiels, and recently I lost a parakeet, but we like almost all animals, except for creepy mice and rats

I don't really like birds as pets... but they're fun to watch outside.
In my old office building, we overlooked the water and could see the birds practicing their flying formations in the fall... getting ready to fly south for winter. It was really amazing.

I like African grays because they are smart and talk funny. At full maturity they have the vocabulary of an 8 year old. Never keep their cages close to the TV because they repeat everything!

Afzal,
I have two favourite kinds of birds...Owls, because they represent the Wisdom of God, and Doves, because they represent the peace He means for this world.
Blessings to you...
