Thanks for asking, Muser
I'm doing English Lit, with a psychological/classical bias.  Supposed to be keeping me out of mischeif.

Taps, sweetie..
Just one of those little things I have learned to appreciate.. along with the monthly facial from the little girl who has started her own business near me. Perhaps they compensate a little for my daughter's absence - I don't know. Whatever gets you through the working life... :)

mneme, I love this post.  Would you believe, that this old lady has never been to have her nails done by someone else.    I have always noted the unique and fascinating nails of female acquaintances, friends, those at work, but I have never entertained the idea of me, myself going to have mine done.   You make me feel like I have missed out on something in life.  Good writing.

Hi YPunday
don't feel much like playing today. One of those famous Libran crashes, relationships being so important to we poor fools. Working on some haikus meanwhile.. I must be about a week behind!

come out and play---haiku--gossey-goosey--gander (plus a reward)

I have not knitted since I sat on my granny's lap some 30 years ago.... can you hear the rain pounding on my roof? bet you that awful weather comes from Oz!

While not knowing a thing about knitting, I can actually do it! I have knitted more than one pullover or jacket, but leave the sewing together to my mom or sister (I really can't sew!!!).

Hi Troosha, FactorFiction
Thanks for reading.... it isn't about the knitting of course. It's more about following my instincts, and finding that a minor distraction can sometimes be the small oasis you need before you can get back to the matter in hand.  - and I love to listen to the girls in their exchanges, because sometimes they laugh out loud and quite often will tell you what the joke was.  It's a friendly place, and another one of my "oases" - we all need them.

Inspired to take up knitting again while getting a nail filled....
now there's a phenomena.  As you pointed out, it's difficult to get inspired about anything as the nails tachs talk amongst themselves and make you feel like an invisible imposition.  :)

Maybe I should sometimes...
