Oh wow,

geez, good question.

I think I'd choose b) break it off, because I wouldn't be able to shake off that strange feeling. But, I'd probably remain friends, because the person has to very special (probably an inspiration to me) for me to be with in the first place. It'd a shame to lose that to say the least.

You sure have some nice questions here!

I don't know whether Ariel70 saw my comment below, so I'll call him by his
proper name and see if he finds it. He'd have to supply some decent cerveza as well.

Afzal, I have literally visited this post 5 times today; I kept thinking about the answer, considering different women, different situations. I think I have to agree with Sunny. Moon_Spirit

Depends on the person and the circumstances and if they are genuinely sorry.

nireo71,It is really painful to do that but you have no option.

I would leave them at least that's what my pride says I would do.

Jazwolf, it is but natural that relationship will end .

posted by afzal50 on August 2, 2006 at 10:22 AM | link to this | reply

Afzal--- Cheating on one's spouse, of course, is but a symptom of
whatever is the real problem, which likely is long past fixing. I might consider going to counseling with her, but, more than likely, the relationship would be over.

shiqi, well you are very charitable . It is really good thought .

Love them. Love them anyway. A marriage means that you love them for better or for worse, and this falls into the "worse" area. Will it really matter if you talk to them? Will it really make things better? Building complications on complications rarely works. Loving someone is a horrible curse where you realize that you will love them beyond measure. Love them knowing that it's the best you can do, and if they choose not to honor that, they are losing everything, and you'll know there's nothing more you could have done.

Afzal, Its easy to say what you would do, but when it comes down to it, one does not always react in the way that they think that they would in such a situation.

Done, over, I'm out the door
Today cheating on a partner goes so much further than just the personal dishonesty.  This person puts your life and health at risk.  Someone who cared that little for both my feelings and physical well being is not someone who loves me and I'd be gone.

Afzal

Hmm ... intriguing question. Homicide witha a blunt implement and maximum bodily damage springs to mind.

But there, I'm an old softie, so I guess I wouldn't. No, poison, an electic fire in the bath, a handful of ball bearings on the stairs. The possibilities are infinite.
