Afzal
My bestfriend's Mother took me into their home after my Mother left town when I was in High School. She took me in as one of her own children. I wrote an entire blog to her "Encouraging Words"
She encouraged me so much. Without her words of encouragement, believing in me and taking me into her home. I don't know where I would be today.
I try to pass that on to other people that are put in my path the same good will that she gave me.

yes, I was picked up once by the Salvation Army in London.
I was young working as an "au pair" girl, fresh faced, still coming to grips with English. It was my great misfortune to be thrown out on to the street by a jealous mama bear who thought I fancied her boyfriend, whatever gave her that idea! Before I could even find the words to argue my case, and it was futile anyway, I was out on the streets. I wandered the London streets, determined not to be sent back on that plane, to my parents, I was only seventeen. With only a few pounds in my pockets, I wandered the streets looking for a job, help anything. And it came in the form of a young couple dressed in a quaint old fashioned army uniform, they took me home for the night, fed me peas and mushy food, and sent me on my way. I was ever so grateful. After that I contacted some French uni friends whom I knew to be working in a hotel somewhere. My two girlfriends took me as a stow away and I used to hide in their room and eat chocolate cakes smuggled from the hotel kitchen. Another friend found me a new host family and all was well. I will always be thankful for the people who helped me along the way. There have been many such people in my life who got me through my worst nightmares. God watches over his flock and I know he always sends someone at the right time and the right place. May be such person is me next time, being sent to help others. We entertain guardian angels and we may not even know it. I am no angel, but may be for one day, I could be an angel to a soul in distress.
