You are a jewel of a daughter. Us Mama's feel old, fat and all those things as our beautiful daughters grow up and take their rightful places in the world. Beautiful post.

Hi, MandaLee,
I really love this time of year, and I think weddings are a big part of that. I hope you and your family enjoy all of the festivities. Congratulations to your sister, and I hope your mom recognizes her beauty, especially on that day. :)

The older we get the less kind the mirror becomes
When I was 20 I was a size 3 now that I am 40 a size 10 is painful when I remember the 3. Your mother is old enough for her daughter to marry and while she is happy I am guessing that there are parts that are hard for her to take as well.

I'm so sorry your mom doesn't know how pretty she is!
There are so many women these days who don't see their beauty--only their flaws. They focus on just a few negative things instead of all the positive...
God Bless you guys...hope that wedding goes off with no problems.

She says that so she can hear you tell her how untrue this is and how truely thin and beautiful she is. LOL.
Sounds like your sister is going to have a very lovely wedding

What a wonderful tribute to your Mother! She is lucky to have a daughter such as you too!
Last night I watched the "Secrets of The Divine Ya-Ya" ( I think that is the name) and one of the last scenes has the Mother asking her daughter if she thought she looked fat.
Sounds like a wonderful time at the wedding! Are you in it too?
