Persistence wears down resistance, seems like that could be true in a
lot of different situations. He's a lot more optimistic this week, just had a bad day. Thanks for your comment the other day. It helped.

Timmy,
fyi re: the sale that MG was working on that frustrated him so badly by standing him up. She finally showed up, and although she's still flaky and a pain, it looks like she's going to buy six or thou in furniture, so it all worked out.
Like you said, the downside to commission sales is it's feast or famine, but MG still wouldn't work for an hourly wage or a salary. Thanks for your input and support.

Your thought is also one of mine and another is growing old and losing my independenace and becoming a burden to my children. I do know that they would want to care for me but I also know ( because I have taken care of many family members ) how hard it can be and the quilt you can feel on days when it seems unbareable.

No nightmares, but in my waking moments, what I am most afraid of is living "too long." A slow decline to death would be worst to live through...
And on that cheery note, I had better get my butt in gear again and do something around here...
BTW - "Hi TimmyTales!" I have been on vacation...nice to come back and see you are here...

When I grew up in the early 60s, I lived in fear of the cold war going hot and mushroom clouds looming. Now that spectre is back, thanks to Kim Jong Il.

My mother's health failing and having to take care of her. Knock wood, not so far. But yours sounds scary. So is Bel's.

My Mother In Law!!!
OK, seriously I doubt I have to say scares me beyond anything. Anyone who has read me more than once can pretty well figure it out. But the mother in law is pretty terrifying as well.
