There's a genre nobody mentions...
A researcher has discovered a rather nasty secret about Mr. Big and writes the expose...  He makes a fortune with his purple prose, although he only sells one copy... to Mr. Big.   Blackmail for Beginners, by U.N. Published...

I heard he's wearing a hair shirt as well at the moment, which definitely

explains one bit of what you heard.

Or was it a hare shirt?

I can't december. Oh well. Better carry on tidying the study to find the work that I owe my boss from about two monks ago.

Pasta Lego.

Ariel, LoL, I am all too painfully aware of the meaning of macrame'!

It was de rigeur in 70s kids summer crafts classes!  I just couldn't put two and two together and figure out the connection between Tryon Stringit and the military... but, like Azur, I don't want to bother my pretty little head too much about it.

As for .Dave's periodic quests to bring a semblance of civility and decorum to our fair Blogit, I say "Good luck, .Dave, (with or without full stop), full speed ahead and damn the torpedoes!.  I am all in favor of Emperor Dave, at least he is honest in his quest for ruthless dictatorial power, none of the "aw shucks, I don't want no popularity, I'm just a humble girl from Hoboken,  try and wrest this (imaginary) crown from my cold, dead hands, you peons!!"

I didn't get my copy of The Fun of Being Atheist...do you suppose it was lost in the mail? You have my latest address. Maybe you'd like to just run it over, bring the missus and we will have a bite to eat before you have to trot back again. Be blessed.

Ariel70, such an ebullient response to my brief comment
I used the full point merely for  accuracy as is my wont.

There is a point to the point but I cannot divulge it. I don't think he needs to be put out of his misery unless you think too closely about the content of his most recent post - he painted a picture that i don't wish to trouble my pretty little head about.

Hmmm ... yes, could be, could be. Could even be my physician, Dr Acula, aiming for the identical spot on his anatomy.

Thanks for fluttering in!

Come now !! Is he not innocent until proven guilty ? Who knows, it could be a simple matter of ruthless politicians with baseless charges - going for the jugular.

THanks for dropping in. This full stop in front of .Dave's name now. One wonders if in some obscure freudian --or possibly even Jungian -- fashion this is a subconscious cry for an end to be put to his evil doings.

This is of course a well documented phenomenon among serial rapists and killers ; they leave lots of clues, so that the cops'll get 'em. So, one wonders, why not a manifestation of this same cri de couer in a serial blogger?

Obviously, one cannot have him removed from Blogit and humanely put down , as one does with rabid dogs, etc, but we could mount a serious STOP .DAVE!!! campaign, couldn't we?

You know, put the poor man out of his misery. I say man, but of course his actual physical make up is seriously in question. Some allege that he is an alien, scoping out the planet for an invasion of his unspeakable fellows, others that he is some hitherto unidentified form of inorganic life -- such as the crystal-like tobacco virus, sent to infect Blogit, and us.

These are profound question, my dear Watson!

Don't you know what macrame is? ( It's pronounced macramay )

It's making bags, garment and stuff and stuff  out of string. Hence the name Tryon Stringit.

Glad you liked it LOL
