I'm not sure which was the more successful..
- the post or the quest for single-space poetry! Thank you all so much for reading and for the tips, which I will try next time.

Oh dear, oh dear! Can't help with that one, I'm afraid. A while back, my screen went Cinemascope, but seems to have cured itself now. I'm sure Blogit didn't do it LOL

Good luck.

ariel70, sometimes when I paste directly from WORD to Blogit, the post
will show up on an extra wide screen. I wrote for help from Blogit, and this is what they suggested. Now , my Blogit tool bar has...gone missing! I am now trying to get it back!

mneme, This is a wonderful post. It sent me on my own trip down memory lane. If muser's help does not work for you, I will tell you the harder way, simple once you get used to it but a bit time consuming. Go down to the bottom "add a post" or "add a new comment" page to the symbol < > and click on that. then go down to the beginning of the poem.

Before each line, you will see
. Delete that for every line of the poem. At the end of each line of the poem, you will see
. Delete only the /p inside of the < > and instead type into it br so that it looks like
. Then go down to the pencil icon and click on it. That should do it for you. Not hard, but if the poem is lengthy, it gets a little boring.

try posting your WORD document to notepad, and then from notepad to Blogit.

mneme...I look forward to every post of yours. This one absolutely touched
my heart. I could visualize your flying back through the years from just touching the silk ribbon hidden within your dressing gown...not an ordinary silk ribbon, but one made magical having been imbued with sweet memories...
Even though you describe your new dressing gown as "not especially attractive, very old fashioned", the term dressing gown is so much more refined than either robe or housecoat that it makes the garment sound especially lovely. I think I shall begin calling my robe my dressing gown...it will look the same, but I shall feel elegant wearing my dressing gown in the morning having my coffee with Max...

another wonderful post...complete with a Pooh Bear prayer...lovely!
