Whacky,
Yes, point of view is definitely a critical factor. I think that's where the ''Me or It'' question comes into play. Point of view tends to implicate Me, which, I fear, may be the correct answer to the question in my first paragraph.
You are right in your concern about exploding pencils in the pocket. I once had a friend who had a friend whose friend had a plastic, butane lighter in his pocket while welding. Sparks flew, and you can guess the outcome. The friend of a friend of a friend aspect of the tale leads me to think I am dealing with Urban Legend material--yet, there are people that dumb. Legend or no, that event alone would put one's humor into quite a depressed mode for some time.

BlackCat,
I'm happy to see that you were by to leave a LOL comment. Was it the thing about saying Funny twunny times that got you? It sure got me. I had to laugh again just now in typing it. And it wasn't my keyboard that was funny. I'm about to take it out to the back yard for a good sledge hammering--although I might start the ceremonies with the double-bitted axe. I haven't decided yet. I have to ax the axe if that's OK.

Is anything funny yet?

It all depends on your point of view!
Also don't put an exploding pencil in your pocket.
