Wow - thanks Muser.. that's what I tried to do..
I'm so glad you liked it... and I think you must be the only person who reads my posts on a regular basis:)  I hadn't thought of showcasing it, no - but I will think about it.  When I write poetry that seems to work - and we all have those that just don't :) - I try to feel the emotions as I write, and let the right words come out on the page.  This one I revised a lttle bit after publishing, like you, and I am experimenting with repetition to help evoke the mood with some of my pieces in development.  Really glad I started :) - and why wait?

mneme...breathtaking! This effort of yours brought back memories of
beholding my own newborns. Mneme...between the lines of your words, I could FEEL the warmth of an infant in my arms, hear the sound of sound of quiet measured breathing, almost too quiet to be heard...like falling snow. AND...by the time I reached the end of your most evocative poem...I could smell baby powder...really smell it! This is too wonderful for words! Have you thought of joining Dave's showcase...a good way to get read and a place to find some good reads! Also, it's a shame she is leaving this month , but ck out Ca88andra. I think you will like her journal.
