Go to Bush's War, or The War Of The Gulf

- Go to Thousands March In Manhattan, Crying "Bring Our Troops Home"
That's just it, DarrkeThoughts. The ridiculous way this war has been run
from the beginnning has left Iraq a dependent nation, a puppet of the will of the Bush administration. There will never be stability in the region as long as an infidel army occupies any area, region, or nation of Islam. Yeah, we fucked the place up worse than it was before (and that's saying something, considering the nutcase we ousted), but they do have a democratically elected government and a shot at self-determination, which they'll never be able to exercise with Rice and Rumsfeld constantly dropping in with demands and a the most modern military on the planet as a support system.` Believe me, the Iraqis will do more on their own after we leave than they have while we've been there.

As with most things American, scoop, the attention span only lasts so
long -- too many born on datings and expiration dates have been drilled into our commercialized heads. the troops should not suffer because of a lack of support for the war. Hell, they're just doing what they're ordered to do, what they basicly agreed to do when they signed up. I have never been for this war (the Afghanistan invasion was acceptable, but not the Iraqi invasion -- you've seen my posts, so you know how I feel about the Iraqi occupation).

They did what???
"Cindy Sheehan spole at the demonstration"
I was against the war from the beginning, and we do need to work on getting out...I'm not sure about the sink or swim senario though, since we were the ones that disrupted their government in the first place...seems like we have to do the responsible thing here and see it through until they are "stable". Still, there's a lot of pressure from the US to have a certain kind of government with acceptable elected officials. I'm not sure you can get to "stable" if you try to coerce and step on their free will like that.

Saul, One death is too many, they say that so far this month 70 Americans
have lost their lives, the highest since last November. When the war first started I was a big supporter and remember going to a rally and being in a family support group when my son went over and also being in a local support group who sent packages, that local group lasted for about four months and then the interest faded. Right now in my area you hear very little about the war.
