Lilane,
I've seen that show a few times, too. I think sometimes they go overboard with the color, maybe because it's such a cheap way to make a dramatic difference. I like a little vibrant color here and there. I love my one orange wall, but I couldn't live in a place that was red in one room, dark green in another and purple, etc. It would just drive me bonkers.

I don't know, Lilane,
I have to curtail myself. I scared my boyfriend because I didn't tell him that I wanted to paint an accent wall in bright citrus orange. It wasn't a sudden thing, I just hadn't told him, and I painted one wall orange while he was at work. It really upset him that I didn't discuss it with him first.
I tend to get suddenly tired of some things, like this Van Gogh print I have over the computer. I'd like to get rid of it and redo the living room, but I'm not going to, I guess I may save that for the next move.

What is it every five years you change your likes and dislikes?

Lilane,
It's so easy to get overwhelmed by clothes, bills, etc. I have to remind myself constantly that life is not an all or nothing proposition and give myself props for taking small steps. I know what you mean about shopping. I've just changed habits though, and try not to accumulate so many clothes and to reecycle some as I get more. Do ever consign clothes? If they'll give you a better return for trade credit, say 60% of the selling price instead of 50% in cash, it might be a way to recycle and get something "new". I get bored with clothes quickly, or they have bad "mojo" and remind me of the past.
Good luck with the finances. It's tough.

As far as that savings going well I had started one but because of bad financial decisions haven't much left of it. There are so many outfits I will never get a chance to wear them all.

You are doing well to get this far :)
though I do think you need to think about having some savings if you haven't already... try a high-interest savings account that you just put even a small sum in, as often as you can, and then leave it. It gives you a buffer and you can see you are getting somewhere. As for all those nice clothes, what's to stop you wearing some to work, or just out shopping? -Better than hanging in the closet :)
