Thanks, Jacenta.
I'm glad to be somewhat settled in now, but unfortunately, we're renting only for a 4 month lease. We're still looking for a house to buy. Good news is we won't have such a packing/moving job as we just did! Whew!

SpitFire70...
Great hearing from you again.  I just imagine your glad the moving is behind you for now.  Looks like a nice place. Great dog you have there!

Hey Spitfire,

I'm happy to hear that, I was born and raised in Oregon, so I'm pretty partial to Northwest scenery .  I shrivel up every time I go to visit my dad in the Mojave and start croaking "water, water" and longing for green grass.

I can't wait to hear about Wyoming.  I'll tell you why later.

Thanks, Lens!

Always great to hear from you! Yep, she is a very laid back dog!

Hey Blanche!
Yeah, OR is pretty nice. I'm learning my way around and what's really cool is just driving to the store or something, the scenery is picture perfect! Wow. Oh, I'll probably post something about my Wyoming experience soon. You'll get a kick out of it! Yeeks. Scawwy!

Spitfire

Your story and the photos kind of make me miss my own cross-country moves.  Shoot...what am I saying?

Seriously, the pooch photos are great.  How laid-back does she look?  She'll fit right in out here.   And that's a mighty comfortable-looking home.  Welcome to the Pacific Northwest

Hiya Spitfire,
I'm glad your're liking Oregon so far.  I can't wait to hear your impressions, it's been many moons since I was in Oregon and don't plan on going back.   What happened in Wyoming?  The hands on the Burger King?  No, I didn't notice them, but yes, can it get any creepier?

HolyG, I'm hangin in there, thanks!
Doggies are very happy. M is out in the L.R. right now cussing out the tv, DVD player, cable box, PS2, etc cause he can't get the surround sound thingie hooked up to everything at once. Poor guy. I'm hiding out in my office!

No doubt, kushie!
(Cute name, btw!) It's fun to say

I don't really want it to be, TAPS! But
it'll grow on me. I just need to get used to it. As far as the house we're renting, I don't want to get too attached. We'll make the home we buy our new "sanctuary!"

Maybe I should move...
then maybe I'd get rid of all those jeans that are too tight to squeeze into now...think of all the living space I'd gain!

Schatz, yes, I must admit, Oregon is absolutely beautiful and
I have yet to encounter any nasty people. Everyone here is SO nice and polite! Everyone (even strangers) smile and say hello to you. Not what I'm used to but I like it!

Whacky, I think so!
And, I'm sure she was freaked out, but probably not nearly as much as I was in my encounters of Wyoming! Beautiful state...STRANGE PEOPLE!!

No shit there, blackcat! It was $607 to ship her in "cargo"!!
Poor thang. Especially for the fact that it was such a long trip for her. No worries, though. She's right back to the same crazy puppy-cat she was before!!

It's a great habit to get into! I've lived and learned first hand, I swear!!

Blanche, yep, I saw it...
That creepy-assed BK guy. Hey, did ya notice "his" hands in one of the latest commercials? I REALLY THINK IT'S A WOMAN in that King Suit! Even CREEPIER, no????

packing and unpacking... ugh... I don't even want to think about it!
Glad to see you're at least there and starting to settle in though... I just read your comment about the dog airfare?  Are you kidding?  To sit in baggage costs $600??

The house looks nice. I know just what you mean about packing and unpacking - I throw things out too!

Spitfire,

LOL, Stonci looks like she's so cool she should be wearing shades in those pics.   $607 for a doggie ticket?  Yowza!  Well, here's hoping you get the whole household together in one spot soon.  I hear you about the move.  I do not want to have to do that, and I have way less than a house to pack up. Still, it's a pain in the patoot.

I've been keeping an eye on the Burger King for you.  I can't remember if we got into this earlier or not, but did you SEE the latest one with the King in bed with the Village People?   Are they trying to put me off burgers for life, cause I'm getting there.

Blache, hey Girl!
Yeah, it's been pretty hectic. Um, oh, the puppy. I left Lindsey (aka Kitty Lippers) in Tampa at my work (my animal hospital) while me, M, and Stonci drove to OR cause she is just too hyper to even think about traveling 4 to 5 days in a car for 12 to 14 hours per day! Stonci is really good in the car. She had the whole back seat to herself with pillows, blankets, bones, and food/water. She didn't eat much during the trip. Stress, I think. Anyway, LSS, Doc (my boss) took her to the airport last Thursday to send her up here. The plane ticket cost me $607!! Yowza! I asked if she was flying 1rst class with a gourmet meal for that price!

It sure does, shelly!
That's why my newest resolution is to NOT save crap I don't use or need every again! My next upcoming move shall go MUCH smoother!

Spitfire,
No wonder you haven't been around much. What a trip, getting the house, moving across country with Stonci and all.  Who, btw, is adorable in these photos.  What about the puppy?

It's a good job you didn't put her on the woof-rack
