Symphony, this is a very interesting post. I will come back and
comment again. The olfactory system is an incredibly complicated one of our sensory systems. I developed scents in the thirteen years I developed bath adn body products. Scents are so like music, the notes go from very high ones to the deep-deep base wood notes that hold it all down. Maybe I'll post on this. Be blessed.

Symph,
I have spent time at the Body Farm at U.T. where they have bury unidentified and donated corpses to study to help solve murders. ( CSI - Forensics). There is nothing worse in the world to smell than a half decomposed corpse. Give me shit anyday!

I love the smell of bleach...I know it doesn't smell good to most people, but I clean my counters and bathroom everyday with the darn stuff.

I grew up on a farm and I don't mind horses or cows but can't stand the smell of pigs or chickens. Goats are the worst. Sheep aren't too bad.

You have very sensitive olfactory glands. Basically, the bad smells are repulsive.

I spent a few years at the local slaughterhouse!
You want to know a smell that would make one vomit? Trust me, it's pretty bad on the kill floor!

Hello, Symphony.....I never quite looked at scent this way...
And therefore, this is a good post, even with the shit, haha......I, too, as another one wrote here, love the odor of baking bread......One weird smell I kind of like, is that of gasoline at the gas station. I know that sounds wacko, but sometimes, it's kind of appealing...I love perfume of course, but love men who come right out of the shower smelling of soap....

For years it was Old Spice because my dad wore that.
But probably my favorite smells are homemade bread (reminds me of my mom) and honeysuckle on the vine.
You should check out Nanaroo's post today. She wrote about falling for a man just because of his smell.

Vomit Makes Me Want to Vomit
I have difficulty cleaning it without getting the urge!! I like a fresh clean smelling house when cleaned, not the cover up of filth with air freshener. Nice post!

I'm a farm girl and always laughed when 'city slickers' visited and complained of the smell...haha...doesn't bother me! They just needed a few days of real work to get used to it. But I must say my fav. is fresh cut grass on a warm sunny day.
