Let me see Nanaroo.....

i have never had recurring dreams, but I can tell you about the worst nightmare I have ever had! It was awful! I woke up in a cold sweat!

I dreamed I was Dolly Parton's baby and she had just weaned me!

Nanaroo
I have recurring dreams of family that has past, especially of my grandparents, and niece.   Once, they were all in the same dream at one time.

thank you for visiting!  Glad you don't have any recurring dreams but if you do, I hope they are good ones!

No recurring dreams to tell, here, but enjoyed reading your post.  My mom was really close to a dog we had once.  She called me crying hysterically when "Kirby" died.  You'd've thought he was a member of the family.  I guess it just affects different people differently.

Nan---I dream about a parakeet that I had as a child and that I have
forgotten to feed him. Shortly after my best friends died in a murder-suicide, I often dreamed that they still were alive. That's ended with time, but it took awhile. And, as often happens when I visit you, you've inspired me. I remember an interesting recurring theme, instead of a specific dream, that I often have and will write about.

I often have those dreams where loved ones didn't die...
I absolutely hate those dreams...they make me so very depressed upon waking.

she is just stopping in to say hello...

My old doggie does that once in a while too.  Only she is free from the body that was too painful to live in.  She's in dog heaven.

thank you for your comment- yes, she was the most special pet, just like a sister to me and she was with me during some very tumultuous years in my life!

Nanaroo,
It's just a longing for your lost pet. I suppose it will stop one day. I very rarely have recurring dreams and it's only two or three times if it happens.

thank you so much!  You know quite a bit about dreams and I just loved your suggestions and your comments.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Those dreams about signing up for classes but not attending them--

Your subconscious is saying to you that you have something important to do and even though you know this and have made a few meager preparations to accomplish these goals, you know in your heart that you haven't truly done all you could have or should have done.

My suggestion is to sit down with pen and paper and make a list of your goals and dreams and then outline a realistic plan to accomplish these things. I don't think you realize how important this is.

It's like, you've said in your heart, "These dreams/goals and things are too great for me. There's no way I could actually pull them off." But you can do them. God wouldn't have put them in your heart if you were not able to do the stuff.

Instead of saying 'There's no way I could do that', say, "God, please show me how to do that."

God doesn't call the equipped. He equips the called.

Your subconscious is trying to get a message to you-

Until you decipher this dream and understand its true meaning, it will continue. I love the science of dream interpretation - the bible has quite a bit to say about it.

I will pray and ask God to reveal the true meaning of the dream to you.

Nanaroo...
I do not claim to know why I dream about my father.  I know that I loved him so much and I miss him.  I also know that I was very special to him, too.  I will always honor and love him.  I do know that it is comforting to see his face in my dream.  I was blessed to have a father that loved me and if he is able to know what is going on with me now, he knows that I will always be thankful, that I was born to be his little girl.

how nice... I have had dreams of my Dad also- when that happens, I think they really are visiting us-- what do you think?

Nanaroo...
I also have recurring dreams and they always seem so real.  I dream of situations that mean the most to me and of those I deeply love.  Often I dream of my beloved father that expired over eighteen years ago.  Usually, he is talking to me from way across the room and I always realize he is smiling at me in my dream.

Nanaroo/Babe,

I have also had this particular dream. I think all people in school may dream about this at least once in their educational career. I've also dreamed I was asleep in class and either missed the lecture or have the teacher thump me on the head. Shadow

You would not believe it but I have had those exact same dreams- about the classes!  It used to be one of my recurring dream episodes- but I only have that one about once a year now.  Amazing that we would both have that dream!!!

My recurring dreams are not usually about people who have died but they are upsetting nonetheless. I dream I have signed up for classes, have attended none of them, and most certainly will fail. I thik it has something to do with unfinished business. In your situation it may not have anything to do with your cat at all. Interesting.

Nanaroo,

Its been many years since my Irish Setter Annie died and I still dream about her. I had a Native American friend tell me that when you dream of deceased pets that you had a special connection with, it means they are there to protect you from bad dreams. Shadow
