flightpath,

I think I will get that post going.  I have been running into so many problems with my job at Planetary Catastrophe Management that I have decided to just quit.  They can't even get times and dates straight.  I've had it with that bunch.

There is one good outcome of all of this: by the time they find someone else to take the job as Planetary Catastrophe Manager III, hell will be frozen over.  That means that even the falling sky will be eons behind schedule.  Children should be warned, if they aren't already aware of approaching problems, but I don't think any of the current adult population needs to have any concerns.

See?  Being a gripy malcontent can save the world.

MPO,

I'm really sorry about this scheduling mess.  I wasn't properly informed of the time zone in which the explosion was to occur, and now I find that my calendar has been running some six years in arrears.  What a mess.  I can't be too surprised the the event was unmentioned on O'Reilly.  It was probably carried there six years ago.

I must say, in my own defense, that the Federal Government is completely at fault here.  I think the Executive Office, perhaps even Bush himself, was scheduing notices to me on the very clock that was used for the recent hurricane event.

Well, don't worry about it.  I'm out of that job, assuming that I am able to contact the Disaster Management Office.  I'm out of Planetary Disaster Planning before another day passes.

No wonder I missed the blogger rating.  Simple things throw me every time.  I have to get right out of this comment box and go see who I am.  Wow!  How neat!

BrightIrish,

I'm certainly glad you made it by.  Apparently I need to change my calendar.  In fact, I better check on the scheduling of this event.  In addition to the time zone problem, I now find that I have a calendar problem.  I don't know.  With all of these problems coming up, I think I'm just going to quit this Planetary Disaster Planner job.  I have enough problems of my own to take care of.

Angel,

Thank you twice.  I know that one of the unwritten rules of Blogit is to respond to each comment separately, but I think that means of it's separate people you are responding to.  I can't be too sure about that, but I know you are so thoughtful that you won't be upset if I respond in one reply to both of your messages.  In the meantime, I'll read up on the unwritten rules to be sure I'm not making a mistake.

Well, from your time I discover that I left out a consideration in my planetary holocaust prediction.  I have no idea what time zone they were talking about.  I think I better call in for a rescheduling of the entire event.  If I don't get the time correct, that worldwide explosion will totally mess up schedules around the world.

Thank you very much.  You have saved me agood deal of embarrassment.

Obvious question:

What the hell are you talking about, Jack?

The earth is going to explode?  How come I didn't hear about this on "O'Reilly"?

Oh and, in some other blog, you wondered how you could see your rankings?  Um, I assume you are aware that all you have to do is click on your name, right?
