I have the same desire. And as long as I don't act on the desire to help me get ahead or garner kudos or whatever, but let my heart ("God") direct my actions, I'm good. If I have to think about it, then it is Ego getting in the way. If I just let things flow, then the right action occurs and I know it is my heart. And it doesn't surprise me that you are the same way. Thanks for stopping by.

Yes, I do have a Buddhist take on a lot of what I believe.

Sannhet......
I desire to do good, to help people, that has always been in my nature.  But it doesn't come from ego, it comes from my heart!  I believe that there are people that help others merely to inflate their egos, but thankfully I am not one of them.  Thought provoking post. Thanks Sannhet!

Good points. I need to pray for a healing of sorts this evening. Thanks for the nudge.

YES....absolutely, positively yes, you're SO right.  The problem (especially for me) is in the doing of this.   You've summed up one of  my biggest lessons here in the physical -- GREAT post
