I think
myddrin has this right - it's about a perfecting of the natural which, to my mind, is a perfect gift anyway. How many adopters of these 'masses of tissues' then seek or encourage plastic surgery for their 'pre-dead' a few years later I wonder?

Corbin,

There are a lot of disturbing grey areas in technology: and what to do with the multiples of embyros who won't be implanted is one of them.  I have a problem with anyone playing with the language to stir up emotion, too.

If embryos are "pre-born children" then are living children "pre-adults" or "pre-dead"?  It's a game of semantics to stir up the public emotions.  Beyond that, I'm just glad that childless couples who couldn't otherwise reproduce and who will make (hopefully) better parents than people who just knock out kids without any planning or finances will. After all, there's a line in a John Cusack movie (the title of which I forget: "You need to take a test to get a driver's license, but any a** can have kids")  and a lot of them do.

So far...everyone is making excellent points......

This practice is only going to continue and actually increase..... anyone care to distinguish between the two terms and why one should be treated differently from the other?

Bud.......would I do that???

The Liberal party misbehaved.......they need a spanking.....no one party should control things for decades...if anything, it will prompt the Liberals in Canada to shake up their organizational structure a bit...and in the long run that will be better for all Canadians.

The same goes for down here....30 years of control is too much...so after another 20 years or  so  we Republicans should give it up, too...

Corbin,

Personally I'll just stick to the old fashion way and if that's not possible, then I'll adopt a child who is already here on earth and needing someone to love and care for him/her. So many people are so selfish. They expect to have a perfect child and one that fits their description. Children are children no matter what color the skin or what is physically or socially wrong with them. They are here and are alive and deserve to be first beyond these assholes who are playing God and those selfish parents who probably have no business raising a child anyway. Shadow

Corbin this is an excellent post. It is but another rung in the ladder of
"Me, me look see! I want to be God." by those who want to control who lives and dies without regard to any natural process outside their wills. Never has worked and never will work!

I am not going to jump into this because I am pro-abortion but you do bring up a very good question, and with that I am out of here!

I think he is doing well because the People of this country are asleep.

Soon they will wake up and realize their mistake and scream loudly.

I have Steven's email address and will be regularly communicating my thoughts to his readers as will many other's.

Over here we don't tolerate dictators. We don't goose step behind the "Pres" as a matter of course.

So you find A harper elected, a much different fish than Harper the candidate.

If he does get in it will be with less than 30% of the voter's eligeble to vote. With that kind of mandate he willbe much toned down and like hamstrung as to his true asperitions.

Thanks for your gloating sympathy, you old devil, Corbin.
