Georgia,
Thanks for the compliment.  I completely agree that we need to find alternative fuel sources.  Just look at the increasing gas prices!  I am so glad you visited.  May it be the first of more.  I hope you were encouraged!

Mandalee

The miners are certainly in my prayers.  It's so frustrating that we are still so determined to use coal as an energy source when there are so many alternatives that would take a bit of creative thinking and and action to make mainstream.  I can't believe that we are still sending brave men and women to their deaths - slowly by black lung, or immediately by explosion - to provide one of the most dangerous and inefficient energy sources our world has known.  Good grief!  Isn't it time to think about eliminating this crazy industry that has been around for millenia and using our modern technology to replace it?

You got me onto my soap box!  Great post!

Hi BC, Absolutely. It's just awful.

I didn't see the initial report, but heard on the news today that they knew
within 20 minutes that the report was wrong, but didn't say anything for 3 hours.  It's tragic enough, but then add the play on emotions and it's is almost too much to fathom.

Tapsel, I wasn't up late enough to see the corrected sad news, so did not
hear that until turning on the news this morning.  My mom was crying and like you, I am still getting over the shock.  Prayer has helped and I'm sure is comforting to the families.

Mandalee, I stayed up late last night watching the happy families who thought their loved ones had survived.   It has taken me a long time this morning to get over the shock of what happened after I went to bed.
