Opps, I stand corrected

I tried a search a few months ago and thought I only got current posts related to the topic but not older ones.

On your advice I tried a series of other topics a few minutes ago and the search engine worked like a charm.

Thanks for setting me straight on this because this will add greatly to my experience on Blogit.

Please note that Blogit search allows you to search by several key words and provides the most relevant search results which can also be sorted by date.

Please try doing the search you mention and let us know how it does not meet your needs or in what ways you feel it doesn't work like the Google Groups' search you are referring to.

Thank you.

Searching all Blog Entries for Themes or Topics/Fluidity of 'Recent Posts'

For example, if I am interested in the experiences of teachers what I might do on Google is type in key words:

Education, Teaching, Students, Curriculum

And a list of any post ever posted in Google's Usernet groups containing any of those words will pop up. It's a lot to wade through, but I can fine-tune my search or re-organize based on the most recent posts.

Or I can be more specific in my search by writing:

"Education Technology"

And any post ever posted with that specific phrase will pop up. This makes it easier to use focus my reading experience yet gives me a wide pool of posts to draw upon.

************************************

By the way (on another topic) -- Again, I can't emphasize enough how much the switch to "most recent entries" as the default setting has improved my experience on Blogit. I have discovered many bloggers whom I hadn't read before because the new default setting adds fluidity. We have broken out of the stagnation of the same old posts appearing all the time.

That adjustment alone was a stroke of genius and changes everything on Blogit. I'm sure there will be a lot more reading and writing around here as a result of that change.

Thanks again for being on top of things.

Re: writersjourney

Thank you for the feedback. Can you explain what you mean by wanting search to work more like Google's Usenet/Groups search? Do you mean that you would like to be able to search within a Blogit category?

Thank you for the clarification.
