Reality
I have to say I AGREE whole-heartedly that the NATIONAL Guard should be guarding our nation. The situation in New Orleans, and the other hurricane affected areas may have been considerably different if we had not had our NG units so sorely stressed in overseas deployments.
My son-in-law is fighting in Iraq right now. Why? This war was waged as a "save face" for Dad, and had nothing to do with 9/11. There never WERE any WMDs, and now that they have Saddam and have killed his whole fam-damily, why aren't we OUTTA there? Why? Because Bush's oil cronies still want to make more money, and because Cheney is still on the draw from Haliburton, which is raking in the DOUGH so long as the war is going on. Jr. learned this trick from Dad, too. Bush ver1.0 made his fortune during the Vietnam war selling Bell helicopters to the government. Haliburton has also gained contracts for the reconstruction and cleanup of New Orleans. And why haven't we found Osama Bin Laden? Because his family has strong financial ties to the Bush family as well. The Bushs BOUGHT both of the last two elections, and they deserve every bit of the grief they are bearing now. So, yeah, I have a Support Our Troops banner on my truck, right above the bumper sticker that reads "IMPEACH BUSH!"
