Gosh, it's like waking up from a dream
fighting for your life. But you can only get away from it by going to sleep. Hope you found a truer "Cottage"  to live in.

QuirkyAlone,
That is terrible, did you move soon after that?  It obviously cast a shadow on that house, the kind that lingers.

Quirkyalone, isn't it pitiful that our minds are a conglomeration of all the things that we remember and that so many of them are bad, hurtful, worrisome things instead of the nice ones.

Hi Quirks.....Great title and frightening story....
You wrote this very well and I could see a story brewing here. I'm only sorry it was for real and something you had to live through. I am curious if you will tackle this story and keep it going.

Having been chased by a guy weilding a knife, I can imagine how scared you must have been to have a murder happen so close to your home!

Yes, and what was even more amazing was the nonchalant attitude of my co-workers...they were like, What's the big deal??

Quirky
I can understand how this would disturb you as a young girl and just starting out in your happy home and marriage. Did you live there long after this happened and did they ever catch the murder?
